They all contain different active ingredients that claim to attack fat and cellulite.

Some of the active ingredients are retinol, caffeine, ginseng and soy.

How do they work?

The active ingredients are absorbed into the skin. That action hydrates and swells up the skin cells.

What results do they produce?

They will not get rid of your cellulite. They will only smooth out your skin temporarily, therefore reducing the appearance of cellulite.

How expensive are they?

The prices vary greatly, depending on the brand name. You can buy one for as low as $20 or if you have an expensive taste you could spend $100 or more.

How to apply them?

It is recommended to dry brush and exfoliate your legs before the application. That will increase the absorption of the active ingredients.

How soon will you see the results?

That varies from person to person, but it takes at least 4 weeks to see the difference.

What do critics say?

They say: "Save your money". In some major studies the creams did not produce desirable results.

The bottom line is:

• They will not melt your cellulite away, no matter what the claim is.

• They can reduce the appearance of cellulite by tightening and smoothing out your skin, but only temporarily.

• They work for some women and not for others

• They will produce best results if combined with proper, healthy diet, exercise and other anti cellulite treatments.

• They may or may not work for you. Unfortunately you'll have to find that out for yourself.

I recently tried Murad Firm and Tone Serum which I highly recommend. It is a great and effective product, but only if used in combination with other anti cellulite treatments.
