Body Wraps for Cellulite
They will leave you with softer, smoother skin and relax your body
Have you ever wondered how it feels to be a mummy? Don't look any further! Body wraps for cellulite will do it for you!
All kidding aside, during my first experience with a body wrap, I felt just like a mummy.
The beautician wrapped me really tightly with soaking wet bandages and then applied a plastic suit over me.
The room was very hot and I had to sit there for about an hour.
Can you really minimize your cellulite and lose inches with body wrapping?
Let's leave that question for now and let's do some exploring first.
What are Body Wraps for cellulite?
Your whole body or your problem areas are either:
- wrapped with bandages soaked in special solution
or
- special cream, lotion or other spa specific concoction is applied to your skin and then covered with cloth, bandages or plastic. Every spa has different products they use. Seaweed, clay , mud or herbs are most popular.
How do they work?
The special solution in the wrap draws out the toxins and excess fluid from your body.
The compression of the bandages compacts the tissues together.
What are the Benefits?
- detoxification
- cellulite reduction
- tighter skin
- smoother skin
- inch loss
How Many Sessions do I Need?
One treatment will not produce great results. A series of consecutive wraps is recommended. Since the treatments vary, it is best to consult with your spa on the recommended number.
Once you're done with the initial series of wraps, you should do maintenance treatments, to keep up with the results.
How Long Will the Results Last?
The results are temporary but they vary from person to person.
Some spas claim the results will last for 3 months, but you need to maintain good weight and healthy lifestyle.
How Expensive are the Body Wraps for Cellulite?
They average $100 for one treatment but vary greatly depending on the scale of the spa.
What do Critics Say about the Body Wraps for Cellulite?
Critics say body wraps do not produce great results for cellulite reduction and weight loss.
According to most, temporary weight loss and body shaping is only achieved by the loss of body fluids, due to compression and perspiration during the body wrap.
So now let's get back to our original question:
Can you really minimize your cellulite and lose inches with body wraps?
Well...it's possible...Some women do see results. But first of all you have to lead a healthy lifestyle, eat a well balanced diet and exercise.
Personally I am not a big fan of the body wraps. They work for some people and not for others.
If you're wondering if they worked for me, I have to say "NO". I didn't enjoy being wrapped up like a mummy, therefore I only did a few treatments.
I did notice softer, smoother and tighter skin. It lasted for about 3 weeks after my last wrap.
That was not long enough, for the amount of money I had to spend.
I imagine if I kept up with the maintenance treatments, my skin would have stayed softer, smoother and tighter for longer.
If you do decide to go for it, make sure you ask these questions at the spa:
- How long have they been providing body wraps?
- Do they have a licenced beautician doing the wrap?
- What herbs or other ingredients do they use?
- What do these ingredients do?
- Do they have package deals?
- Do they guarantee the results?
- Are they in good standing with BBB?
- Do they offer special deals to new clients?
You could also try to do your own body wraps in the comfort of your home. You can purchase "do-it-yourself body wrap kit" on-line or in your health store. It will cost you a fraction of what you'd have to spend at the spa.
